Introduction

In the beginning industrial automation is the use of control systems for automated different processes and machineries with high speed & precision that can’t be achieved with manual works. Now industrial automation is not just about automatic process but already shifting into the bigger perspective about “Data”. In the past information from sensor or devices only collected with digital & analog status used for automate the process. Nowdays peoples already talking about process modeling, adaptive control, data analytics, & predictive maintenance. Boundaries between systems, plants & factories started to fade out since invention of internet. Nowdays IoT’s, Cloud’s become everyday talks. We are having cooperation with 3 world class technologies providers.

Phoenix Contact provides complete solution starting from terminal blocks, power supply, signal isolators, Plc’s, touchscreen & etc. PLCnext Technology from Phoenix Contact really revolution of PLC’s world. Proficloud solution also brings you “connectivity solution” between one system to others which are remotely located.

Rhosonics develops, manufactures and supplies in-line measuring instruments based on ultrasonic technology. Since the company was founded in 1992, the company has continuously focused on the development and improvement of the ultrasonic measurement technologies for a variety of applications. At Rhosonics, we believe that we can offer a measurement solution for virtually all process liquids in any industry.

Tridium provides a software platform called Niagara Framework which are designed able to talks & interact with many different protocols. Niagara Framework is a fully customized software and solution oriented. Depends on customer requirement and we are ready to integrate it.

Together with IMS Messsysteme GmbH as technology provider we are providing high precision measuring technology in the cold & hot application for rolling mills, continuous casting plants and also service centres.

Measuring systems which detect reliably and permanently a wide variety of materials such as steel, aluminium or non-ferrous metal even under the toughest environmental conditions. Appropriate reproducible measurement data is continuously transmitted and impressively visualized and thus process sequences optimizied. Production costs are sustainably reduced, highest product quality is guaranteed and the reject rates are minimized, which increases the economic productivity of our customers.

X-2DVISION SURFACE INSPECTION SYSTEM

Consistently from casting to packaging

The surface inspection systems of the X-2Dvision series work with line cameras that inspect hot and cold strip in two dimensions. In combination with 3D systems on the continuous caster, they make it possible to track surface defects throughout the entire process chain. If the surface data of the casting strand, hot and cold rolling mill are correlated with each other, the causes of errors can be identified and eliminated, which originate in the upstream process stages and whose effects will only become visible later.

The X-2Dvision systems for hot rolling mills work with a large measuring distance to the material to be measured and are designed for use in adverse environmental conditions. Surcon supplies particularly compact measuring heads for inspection tasks in cold strip systems, which usually have limited installation space, and are easy to integrate into existing production lines.

The data from the 3D and 2D systems can be saved in a common database in the IMS quality management system MEVInet-Q. The MEVInet-Q system collects and archives all data that arise in the process. In addition to the surface data, geometry and system data can also be stored. This enables the holistic evaluation of all process-relevant information.

With regard to the surface inspection, it supports the creation of rules for the release of the coils with the rule editor. With offline simulation, new rules can be tested with historical data before they are released for routine production operations.

DIMENSION AND CONTOUR MEASUREMENT FOR FLAT AND LONG PRODUCTS

Cross profiles can vary from round and square to tailor-made rail shapes – IMS offers solutions for every measuring task. Our measurement results provide you with important information about the rolling process and further processing. Or even better: With an optional, integrated surface inspection system, you can see every defect, no matter how small, on the product surface.

No estimated dimensions – no high risk of breakouts – no rejects or quality gradations. Why shouldn’t you continuously know the dimensions of the cast or rolled products the moment they leave the plant? If the geometry data are linked to other measurement data, sources of error that originate in upstream process phases can be identified and eliminated.

CCS FLATNESS MEASUREMENT

The IMS-CCS flatness measurement offers you a level of accuracy that cannot be found in other flatness measurement systems. Your customers are demanding increasingly tight tolerances. This measuring system helps to minimize your reject rate of strips, sheets and plates, which are processed in galvanizing lines, pickling lines, cross-cutting lines, scissor lines and stretch levelers in service centers and cold rolling mills.

The system consists of two components: a laser unit that projects multiple laser lines across the entire bandwidth, and a “measuring bar” that scans the material surface with 50 matrix cameras per 1,000 mm inspection length and evaluates the laser lines. These intelligent camera clusters offer you superior image data processing with high sampling rates, regardless of whether they have a matt or glossy surface. The topographical and flatness data can be displayed on an operator station for monitoring and control. Due to the compact design and the pre-calibration, installation and commissioning, even with limited installation space, is very simplified and the entire start-up is shortened to your advantage.

COATING MEASUREMENT X-RAY

Flexible design, maintenance-free measuring head – a comparison is worthwhile

For more than 20 years, IMS has only used X-ray systems in your production lines to measure the basis weight or the thickness of metallic coatings (e.g. zinc, zinc / iron, zinc / aluminum, zinc / magnesium, tin, aluminum, chrome, lead).

Three different types of measuring points are used here:

  • traverse
  • O frame
  • C measuring bracket

Different measuring heads are used depending on the measuring task. They differ in the type of detectors used (ionization chamber) and X-ray tube, and the number of detectors in a measuring head can vary. The measuring distance of the measuring heads to the tape is between 55 and 80mm!

DIMENSION MEASUREMENT

Exact information about the cross-section and the outer contour of the slabs

Arranged at the outlet of your continuous caster, our optical systems provide exact information about the cross-section and the outer contour of the slabs.

On the one hand, the measurement results are used for the precise control of continuous casting plants. On the other hand, the data transfer to your hot strip or heavy plate mill provides important information for your downstream units.

The information on the outer contour is also used to protect your units, for example your stove if the ski is pronounced, if it bends or if it is mixed up. In addition to the measuring system described above, you can use our TopPlan topometric measuring system. It enables you to control the height matrix of the slabs / sheets 100% with unprecedented precision and speed. With the expansion of our surface inspection system, you have a complete quality control at your disposal.

Introduction

Mining companies are increasingly looking for non-nuclear measuring instruments, because of stricter government regulations, increasing safety related costs and the need to reduce nuclear waste.

The ultrasonic slurry density meter (SDM) of Denflonic eliminates all costs, health and safety risks related to the radiation source. This easy-to-use non-nuclear device does not require any license and provides reliable density values to monitor and improve production output. Denflonic has hundreds of SDM installations for mineral slurry applications worldwide and more than 28 years of experience with ultrasonic technology, therefore the company believes that nuclear density meters are no longer needed.

The SDM can measure density of mineral slurries under high density levels and at very large pipes. By measuring the acoustic impedance of a slurry, the SDM calculates the density of the slurry real-time for direct process control. Typical applications in mineral processing are thickener underflow, feed or overflow, concentrate of the flotation cells and cyclone feed. The sensor does not intrude the pipe and is made of the strongest wear resistant materials that protects the sensor against highly abrasive slurries. Installation is done by a weldolet or with a spool piece.

Features and benefits:

  • Non-Nuclear density meter, ultrasonic technology
  • Real-time density measurement
  • Durable probe system
  • Lowest possible maintenance needs
  • High accuracy and reproducibility
  • Suitable for all types of slurries
  • Compact integrated system
  • Process connection via HART and 4-20mA
  • Continuous data & system logging

waste water treatment

Big industries that produces high solid waste normally has clarifier tank to separated between & the water. The water will be slowly flowing through the middle pipes or drain channels on the tips of the tank while the solids will slowly settling down. Normally there’s a constant moving rotary scrapper that are acting like a giant stirrer. Normally there is a slip ring that used to transfer the signal from the proximity switch, level sensor & etc to the PLC’s. Weakness of slip ring actually on the contact point between pickup and rings that any dirt or inconstant contact will effected the signal. Our wireless solution can replaced this “old fashion” technology. With Radioline technology from Phoenix Contact we can provided trouble free signal transmission to the PLC.

RADIOLINE from PHOENIX CONTACT

Radioline is the wireless system for large systems. Special features include extremely easy assignment of inputs and outputs by simply turning the thumbwheel – no programming is necessary. Thanks to Trusted Wireless 2.0 technology, Radioline is the ideal choice for reliable use in industrial environments.
